Why my broad-topic blog isn’t working (and how I could use your help!)

If you’re reading this, you’re awesome.

Not because you must be out seeking greatness and came here to get it; rather that you have seen enough value in the title of this post to open it up and see what it is I need help with. I really, really appreciate it!

I’ve been doing some reading up lately on niches, providing valuable content, and have been working on some projects. This post is a trial run of two tips that I’ve found in my reading:

  • Be vulnerable
  • Ask your people what it is they like (and don’t care for) about your work

You may have noticed a change in my tone and delivery a few weeks back. I had a great conversation that opened my eyes to the stagnant, generic blog I was writing, and what I was missing. After that chat, I spent some time writing the post about the haying business. Thanks to you guys, my weekly number of views increased 500%. Woah.

That being said, I’ve seen a down-tick the past few weeks, and I’d love to be able to fix that. Not because I’m a Stat Addict, but because the number of views and the value I’m providing for you are directly correlated. And providing you with valuable content is the only reason I do this.

So, my question is simple – What was it that you liked about the haying business post? Good take-away? Good story of my childhood? Something you resonated with? Great punctuation or grammar?

I would super-duper appreciate a comment below, or on my facebook link, or an email.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I’ll be writing more on this as I continue on my quest for more valuable content – stay tuned!
